  • Openness Factor
    The greater the openness factor (5% - UV Blockage 95% & 14% - UV Blockage 86%) the greater the view out and amount of sunlight in. Which also translates into reduced thermal protection and protection for you and your furniture from the harmful effects of the sun.

    In reverse - the lower the openness factor the shades become more energy efficient as it repels more light, heat and harmful UV Rays. The view out isn't as clear as an openness factor of 14%, but you'll realize a more comfortable environment with a lower openness factor.
     
  • Dark Colors
    Dark colors reduce glare, filter out light and improve the view out. The negatives are less protection from summer's heat and reduced privacy. As well as you can see out during the day - the view in will be the same at night.
     
  • Light Colors
    Light colors reflect heat far better than dark colors. As a result, light colors offer greater thermal protection and a more consistent room temperature. The lighter the color the brighter the room and poorer the view out.
  • M Screen is available in 5% openness and made from a combination of 36% Fiberglass / 64% PVC fabric that is inherently thin, stretch resistant, strong, durable and fire resistant
     
  • Fiberglass does not stretch, shrink or twist nor is it affected by extreme changes in temperature
     
  • Fiberglass yarns are manufactured from natural non-toxic minerals that do not promote bacterial nor mildew growth
     
  • Spring tension control standard with a free upgrade to a color-coordinated clutch lift system for the larger shades
  • Lightly dust or vacuum. Clean with a sponge and cold water and mild detergent. Dry in upright position with the blind down and the fabric flat. Do not rub the fabric excessively

Standard Spring Control

Standard Spring Control » No Charge
The standard spring control relies on the tried-and-true reliability of the classic Spring Roller shade. Completely cordless, you simply grasp the shade by its bottom hem and pull it down to whatever length you want. A gentle tug releases the spring's lock and allows the shade to be gently raised. Spring roller shades are cost effective and provide the smallest amount of light gap on inside mounts.

Roll-Ease Style Clutch System

Clutch control gives an added degree of control and also allows the shade to be made in larger sizes. The clutch roller is operated by an easy beaded chain control. Pull the front chain to raise the shade; pull the back chain to lower it. A constant tension clutch stops the shade wherever you want it to stop.

Cassette System

Cassette System » + Surcharge
Cassette system is designed to enclose and hide the roller and/or operating mechanism. The cassette system is supplied with a matching fabric insert in fascia, continuous loop clutch system and color-coordinated bead chain.

Reverse Roll

Reverse Roll » No Charge
The fabric on a standard roller shade rolls off the back of the roll towards the window. With reverse roll the fabric rolls off the front of the shade. We recommend the standard roll simply because it offers greater privacy and is more energy efficient. Reverse roll is not available with the Cassette System.

  • Shades wider than 96" must be railroaded. All shades wider than 96" and longer than 84" must be railroaded and will have a visible horizontal seam

Inside Mount Specifications
On inside mounted shades fabric will measure ordered width minus 1-1/8". As a result, there are edge light gaps and these can vary slightly based on shade size and shade material. To avoid light gaps, outside mount is recommended.

Will have up to a 5/8" inch light gap on each side of the shade.

Outside Mount Specifications
Depending on the type of hardware selected (Spring or Clutch) the fabric will have 1" to 1-1/4" deducted from the width of the fabric. This is to ensure that the fabric does not rub against the installation brackets or control mechanism. It is recommended that you add 1-1/2" to 2" of overlap on each side for ultimate light and privacy control.
